Port Towns Bus Service Commences
The Towns of Bladensburg and Colmar Manor have teamed together to offer their senior citizens and physically and/or mentally challenged residents a new bus service. This service is available immediately. Details regarding this service are as follows:
HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
COST: $1.00 per round trip. Exact change required. There is no charge for Town sponsored events such as senior citizen association meetings, elections, etc.
TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT: Call (301) 277-4920 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. A minimum of 48 hours advance notice is needed for each appointment.
SERVICE AREA: An approximate five (5) mile radius from each Town’s Municipal Center/Town Hall.
OTHER INFORMATION: Physically and/or mentally challenged residents must be able to assist themselves or provide an escort. The driver is not permitted to assist any individuals.
There will be set days, to be determined in the future, for shopping and other events. The services will be available at no charge for scheduled senior citizen meetings. If you have any questions regarding this service, please call the Bladensburg or Colmar Manor Town Hall.
